Balochistan parties want ECP to review ‘bogus’ lists

QUETTA: Nine political parties of Balochistan have demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to issue review orders of the “bogus electoral lists” to avert rigging during the elections of local bodies elections. Addressing a press conference at the Quetta Press Club on Thursday, leader of ANP Abdul Rasheed Nasir, PPP leader Syed Iqbal Shah, PML-Q leader Ismail Lehri, JI leader Zahir Akhter, JUI-I leader Abdul Wahid Agha, Hazara Democratic Party leader Raza Wakeeel, BNP-M leader Ghulam Nabi Marri, PML-N leader Kamal Khan, PTI leader Bari Bareech and others made this demand. They said that two counselling meetings of nine political parties considered all the aspects of the LG elections scheduled on December 7 and it concluded that haste in the conduct of elections is aimed at benefiting certain parties. They said that the masses and the political parties have their reservations over the conduct of elections as the law and order in the province is not so good. They said that everyone should get a chance in the elections.
