Govt presents three anti-terror ordinances in NAStaff Report
ISLAMABAD: The government Thursday presented in the National Assembly three anti-terrorism ordinances which envisage prevention of acts threatening security of Pakistan and special trial of terrorism offences. Federal Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid presented the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Ordinance, 2013 (No 7, of 2013), the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Ordinance, 2013, (No 8 of 2013) and the Protection of Pakistan Ordinance, 2013, (No 9 of 2013). Following the introduction of the bill, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq referred the ordinances to the relevant committee of the House to discuss any required amendment in them before they are put to vote in the House.
