Iran ready to revise gas price for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Iran's state-owned gas company has said it is ready to revise the price of the commodity for Pakistan.

National Iranian Gas Company Managing Director Hamid Raza said the gas price has not yet been fixed and can be changed.

A few days ago Iran hinted to scrap deal with Islamabad. On Saturday, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the government is committed to build Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project to meet its growing energy requirements.

In an interview‚ he said there is no decision to shelve this important project‚ but there are some constraints including threats of sanctions from the United States and the United Nations.
