Climate for peace talks with Taliban not conducive: Rana Tanveer
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer has said peace talks with Taliban were not possible at this time as the latter were annoyed over killing of their chief Hakimullah Mehsud.
In an interview with British Broadcaster, the minister said the government was waiting for the climate to become conducive for peace talks with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He said it will take a few months.
Rana Tanveer said talks were not possible until the Taliban are cooled down. He said another attempt for talks could be made in 2-3 months.
