SHC adjourns hearing of Musharraf’s plea to strike name off ECL

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) Monday adjourned until November 22 the hearing of former president Pervez Musharraf’s petition praying for the removal of his name from the exit control list (ECL), Geo News reported.

Pervez Musharraf’s counsel A.Q. Halepota had filed the petition in SHC stating that his client’s mother was sick and he wanted to go abroad to inquire about her health and, therefore, prayed the court to order for striking his name off from ECL.

The petition further stated that his client has already obtained bail in all the cases including Akbar Bugti murder and Benazir Butto murder cases.

The hearing of the petition could not proceed today due to the absence of Deputy Attorney General.
