Kayani pays farewell visit to air, naval headquartersISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Kayani on Monday paid a farewell visit to Air Headquarters and Naval Headquarters.
The COAS called on Chief of the Air Staff Tahir Rafique Butt at his office, said a press release issued by PAF. The air chief lauded General Kayani’s services in strengthening the defence of Pakistan and contributing towards an unprecedented tri-service synergy. Talking to the air chief, General Kayani conveyed his satisfaction in the readiness state and awareness of the aerial defenders of the nation towards their responsibilities and appreciated their high morale.
He also expressed satisfaction on the niche attained by the PAF amongst the modern air forces of the world. Separately, naval chief Admiral Asif Sandila welcomed the army chief at Naval Headquarters. They discussed matters related to professional armed forces. Both the chiefs discussed host of issues and Sandila highly acclaimed the role of army chief in strengthening the armed forces. agencies
