Sixth Aalami Urdu conference in Karachi to begin tomorrow

KARACHI: The sixth Aalami Urdu Conference under the aegis of Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi will begin tomorrow with a galaxy of writers, poets and critics of high merit along with the large number of literature buffs, Geo News reported.

The Aalami Urdu Conference November 28-Decmber 1 aims at promoting Urdu language in general and Urdu literature in particular.

Dr. Jamiluddin Aali, Mushtaque Ahmad Yusufi, Jamil Jalibi, Iftikhar Arif, Zuhra Nigah and Indian writer Pal Anand among other celebrities would be attending the inaugural session of the Conference.

Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi president Muhammad Ahmad Shah talking to media said that Urdu conferences were now being held like Karachi in other cities of the country also.

Noted Indian litterateur Shamim Hanafi on this occasion said that the holding of such conferences help a great deal in the promotion of Urdu language.
