SC orders IGFC to present missing persons on Friday

KARACHI: The Supreme Court has ordered the IGFC to appear before the court on Friday and present the missing persons.

During proceedings of the missing persons case at the Karachi registry, Chief Justice Ifthikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that a case would be registered against the IGFC if he failed to present the missing persons.

Chief Justice Chaudhry asked if the Prime Minister of the country watched television as the families of the missing persons had walked from Quetta to Karachi. In response, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said he would meet the families of the missing persons and take responsibility for resolving the matter.

Asif said that 738 missing persons had been found and it would take months not years to find those remaining.
