Kayani thanks Corps Commanders for extending support
RAWALPINDI: The 166th Corps Commanders Conference was held at General Headquarters on Thursday.
Outgoing Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani presided over his farewell conference.
General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani thanked all the Corps Commanders and Principal Staff Officers for extending their wholehearted professional support during his tenure as Chief of the Army Staff.
The COAS congratulated Chairman Joint Chief of the Staff Committee General Rashad Mahmood and Chief of the Army Staff designate General Raheel Sharif for their promotion to the rank of General and selection for the coveted appointments.
Gen Kayani also commended Lieutenant General Haroon Aslam for his services for Pakistan Army.
At the end of Conference on behalf of all participants both newly promoted incumbents separately paid General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani rich tribute for his services to the institution and the country.
They thanked him for introducing reforms and spearheading the transformation of Army to meet the future challenges. (APP)
