Will prove PPP is alive, says Bilawal

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Patron-in-chief, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that his father Asif Ali Zardari, as a president, achieved what a powerful military dictator could not in Swat.

Addressing the founding day ceremony of PPP at Bilawal House here, the PPP chairman said the PPP-led government resisted international pressure and gave the nation the gift of Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline.

He said that it is a baseless claim that PPP has changed. The party would show to the world before the next general election that the PPP is alive with full strength and vigor.

Bilawal further said that the current government is planning to shut Benazir Income Support Program, which he said, was tantamount to depriving Sindh province of its due rights.

Criticizing the privatization policy of the government, Bilawal said that his party is against privatization, adding that the government is pursuing the ‘personalization policy’ in the name of privatization.

Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, PPP senior leaders Amin Fahim and Mian Raza Rabbani were also present on the occasion.
