Nawaz meetings Sri Lankan, Maldives Presidents in Kathmandu
During meetings, discuss expansion of bilateral ties, cooperation in region

KATHMANDU – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held meetings with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Maldives Abdulla Yameen in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
During meeting with the Sri Lankan president, they discussed matters related to bilateral relations and the regional situation. The two countries agreed to further strengthen and enhance cooperation in diverse fields. The prime minister said that Pakistan desires to strengthen bilateral ties with Sri Lanka.
Prime Minister Nawaz and Maldives President Abdulla Yameen also held a meeting on the sidelines of the SAARC summit in Kathmandu on Wednesday. They discussed bilateral ties and regional issues. The prime minister said that Pakistan gave special importance to its relations with Maldives.
He said that Pakistan and the Maldives were tied in common religious bonds. Maldives President thanked the prime minister for extending cooperation in various sectors.
