Petrol will be sold at Rs84.53 from Dec 1: PM Nawaz

HAVELIAN: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday announced to bring down the prices of pertroleum products, saying petrol will be available at Rs84.53 per litre from December 1.

“The price of petrol is being slashed further by Rs9.66,” the Premier said while addressing a public meeting after a ground breaking ceremony of Hazara Motorway project here.

He said the price of HOBC is being reduced by Rs10.18 a ltire and it will be sold for Rs106.27 from Monday.

The price of diesel is being brought down by Rs7.12 per litre, light diesel by Rs5.39 and kerosene oil by Rs4.34 a litre.

The Prime Minister reiterated his resolve to put an end to the loadshedding in the country soon.

Criticising the sit-ins and politics of agitation, Nawaz Sharif said he had a fear that reduction in prices of petroleum products might give the protestors another reason to stage a fresh sit-in.

He said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces have started realizing that the new Pakistan is nowhere to be seen.

The Premier said the people will take revenge from those responsible for slowing the progress of the country in general elections of 2018.
