‘Cut in petroleum prices to bring down inflation’
Pervaiz says Joining PTI won't save Ijaz from fake degree case
ISLAMABAD – Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday said that reduction in petroleum prices for the second time in two consecutive months would significantly bring down inflation.
Talking to PTV, he expressed the hope that people would receive a substantive relief as a result of cut in petroleum prices announced by the prime minister. He said that people would soon start reaping fruits of the policies and projects being implemented by the Pakistan Muslim League-N government.
He said that Ijaz Chaudhary, by joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), would not be able to shield himself from being convicted in the fake degree case. Talking to a private news channel, he said that Ijaz Chaudhary's leaving the party would not affect the PML-N because he was not given the party ticket for the last general election. He added that Ijaz had applied for the PML-N ticket but the party refused to do so.
To a question, Pervaiz said that law would come into action if the participants of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's tomorrow protest try to take law into their hands.
