Shahbaz says Punjab rejects rigging allegations

ISLAMABAD - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday said that the people of the province had rejected the elements levelling baseless allegations of rigging.

In his message of congratulation to the winning candidates of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), Shahbaz said politics of honesty, public welfare and hard work won in the first phase of the local government elections in Punjab, PTV reported.

Shahbaz Sharif said the local government elections had validated the results of the last general elections. He said the ruling PML-N was committed to the mission of national development.
