Cold wave increases miseries of quake-hit people

CHITRAL: After recent rains and snowfall, the miseries of the earthquake-hit people have further increased. Chitral-Gilgit Road and Peshawar-Chitral Road are closed for traffic due to snowfall and land sliding. Shandur received 14-inch snowfall after which the road linking Gilgit and Chitral was closed. The relief and rehabilitation activities are being hampered due to rain and snowfall. Meanwhile, local meteorological office has forecast more rains and snowfall over hills in these areas.
