President calls for imparting vocational training to poor families
ISLAMABAD - President Mamnoon Hussain has said that the government has further expanded Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), which is recognized as an exemplary social safety initiative in the region to eliminate poverty.
Addressing the launching ceremony of Waseela Taleem program in Thatta on Saturday, the president said that the skill development scheme under the BISP is playing a pivotal role in addressing poverty. He called for imparting vocational training to the poor families getting financial assistance under the program to stand on their own feet.
President Mamnoon also called for expanding Waseela Taleem program to all parts of the country.
