384 killed in Sindh police encounters this year
KARACHI: Three eighty four criminals were killed in police encounters this year under National Action Plan (NAP) in the Sindh province, said Deputy Inspector General (DIG) headquarters Aleem Jaffery.
The DIG was briefing a 30-member delegation of under-training Superintendents of Police (SPs) at National Police Academy who called on him here on Monday.
He told the visiting delegation that 427 accused were arrested in 10,684 raids and 2,091 search operations in 2015.
The DIG said 1584 cases have been lodged and 876 accused were arrested for the violation of Loud Speaker Act.Courtesy www.thenews.com.pk
