Jahangir Tareen confirms filing Rs30 bn defamation suit against Shahbaz
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen has filed defamation suit of Rs30 billion against Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
In a tweet on Friday, PTI leader said, “I've filed a defamation suit of Rs. 30 Billion against King Of Liars, SS. Come out of hiding Showbaz Drama Sharif and face the music.
PTI Secretary General filed the suit against Shahbaz Sharif for ‘false allegations’ over the plaintiff’s loans.
In the petition, filed in a sessions court on Thursday, the PTI leader refuted Shahbaz’s claim that he had loans written off from banks and usurped public funds.
Shahbaz Sharif, according to the plaintiff, made these statements at a public gathering in Rajanpur on April 25.
