ISLAMABAD: Captain (r) Safdar – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law – has filed reply in Supreme Court (SC) with reference to Panama leaks stating that he and his wife Maryam Nawaz hold no off-shore companies.

In a written reply filed by him in SC he has taken plea that his wife Maryam Nawaz holds no off-shore company and they both are regular tax payers. In the declaration of assets filed by them, details of all assets and tax return have been recorded.

The assets about which Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan had alleged were in the ownership of Maryam Nawaz, had never been owned by her.

He further said in his reply that Imran Khan had not sent any reference against him to the National Assembly’s Speaker and SC was resorted to instead of proper platform in connection with his disqualification which is in violation of article 225. Section 62 and 63 are also applicable before elections.

“All the allegations levelled in respect of my eligibility are false, baseless and concocted,” he said. Therefore, the petitions filed by Imran Khan be declared baseless and dismissed, he urged the court.
