Probe committee not being formed against Rashid, says Nisar
By ONLINEISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said the committee to probe into leaked news matter will be constituted under a retired judge of high court till Monday.
Talking to senior journalists here Saturday, Nisar said that matter of controversial news item is a national security matter. “It is not a child’s play. Investigations are must to ascertain facts so that those behind the false news could be identified”.
He said that inquiry committee was not being constituted against Pervaiz Rashid but it was being framed to find facts about the news item. The officers of intelligence agencies will also be members of this committee.
“No one will be able to raise fingers on integrity, honesty and sincerity of the officers at committee,” he remarked. “Inquiry committee will of administrative nature and there is no need to constitute parliamentary committee”.
He stated that inquiry committee would be provided opportunity to work in free, fair and transparent atmosphere so that who is behind the news item could be identified.
