US says no shift in policy about Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar congratulated people of US on behalf of people of Pakistan on their National and Election Day and maintained that Pakistan looks forward to work closely with the new administration in persuasion of our common ideas of freedom, democracy, peace and prosperity.
The finance minister attended National Day and Election Day of US on Wednesday as chief guest on behalf of the prime minister of Pakistan. Speaking on the occasion, he said that we deeply appreciate the development co-operation the two countries have had over the years.
American Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale stated after elections, there will be no shift in the policy regarding relations Pakistan and America. He said that Pakistan and the US are trade partners and their ties are not limited to one sector. He said that relations between Pakistan and America is stable. He said that US supports democracy in Pakistan.
