Lahore: Citizens face hardships as doctors' protest enters 3rd day

LAHORE: Citizens as well as patients continued to face hardships as the Young Doctors Association (YDA) continued its sit-in protest at OPDs of the city hospitals on Thursday.

According to details, both residents and patients faced hardships due to the doctors' protests. Many patients could be heard uttering harsh statements against the protesting young doctors, whose absence has caused harm to as many as 15,000 patients.

Young Doctors Association spokesman Dr Khurram Shehzad stated that the protest would go on till the doctors who were sacked from Mayo Hospital in Lahore were not restored to their previous positions.

The sit-in protest at Club Chowk caused a heavy traffic jam at Mall Road Lahore as well as adjoining areas.
