The Trumps to become 45th First Family of US
WASHINGTON:Donald Trump’s, President-elect of the United States,immediate family will become the country’s 45th First Family – a term used for the relatives of the president living in the White House.
The First Family of the US is an unofficial title used for the immediate family of the US presidentwho reside in the Executive Residence of the White House – a term that includesMelania, Donald Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany and Barron from January 20, 2017.
Members of the First Family consist of the president, the first lady, any of their childrenand other close relatives– such as parents, grandchildren, stepchildren and in-laws – may also be classified as members.
Individually, each member of the First Family is designated a codename by the US Secret Service – whichare used by special agents to identify members for their on-going protection as well as for the sake of brevity, clarity, and tradition.
