KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Sunday that the anti-Pakistan elements are killing Muslims and detonating blasts at shrines.
He said that the blast at the shrine of Shah Noorani is a tragic incident and most of the injured and killed people belong to Karachi.
“I had declared emergency in major hospitals like Civil, Jinnah and JPMC. The doctors were called back, extra blood and medicines were arranged apart from sending ambulances to Shah Noorani to transport the injured to Karachi,” he said.
“I have given clear instructions to provide them best health facilities,” he said and added that during the briefing he has been told that 34 dead bodies were brought to Trauma Centre – of which 32 have been identified and handed over to their heirs.
The chief minister said that the helicopter of the Sindh government lacks the ability to fly at night.
“Nothing is more precious than the life of people, I had categorically issued directives to chief secretary and the police IG to provide whatever is available but save lives of pilgrims,” he said.
He added that he had ordered to purchase a latest helicopter for disaster management but the Supreme Court has stayed the purchase,” he said and went on saying, “The Sindh government badly needs a latest helicopter.”
