Bilawal shocked at Badar's death, announces 3-day mourning
KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his shock and pain at the demise of PPP leader Jahangir Badar. The Bhutto scion announced a 3-day mourning period.
According to details, Bilawal Bhutto paid glowing tributes to former senator and Secretary-General of Pakistan Peoples Party, Jahangir Badar and hailed him for his sacrifices and contributions to the cause for democracy. He announced a three-day mourning period in light of Badar's death and cancelled all party arrangements.
Bilawal said that Jahangir Badar would continue to serve as an example for all workers and jiyalas of the party as someone who fought bravely against dictatorship. He referred to him as a jiyala par excellence who believed in the ideology of Bhuttoism.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Jahangir Badar passed away due to cardiac arrest late on Sunday night, at the age of 72. The family sources said, Jahangir was rushed to a private hospital in Defence area of Lahore after he suffered a heart attack. He was also a kidney patient.
