Asif calls terrorist elements destructive for region
Defence Minister warns catastrophe as Pakistan, India tensions escalate
ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday warns catastrophe for the entire region as tension escalate between the two nuclear armed neighbours.
The defence minister urged the world community to take notice of Indian aggression. In an interview, Khawaja Asif said that for the last several months, the situation at the Line of Control (LoC) and the working boundary are heating up due to Indian violence.
The Minister said that the use of heavy weaponry by Indian forces – in the recent LOC firing – was alarming. Asif mentioned that Pakistan is using diplomatic methods to highlight the Indian aggression, revealing them at all international forums.
He said that the terrorist elements coming to power in India could prove to be destructive not only for their own country but for the whole region and countries need to be cautious of this.
