Pakistan military drills send jitters through Indian media

KHAIRPUR TAMEWALI: Pakistan military's exercises and drills near the border sent jitters through the Indian media, who covered the event in detail.

As Pakistan Army troops, tanks, aircraft and ships carried on a military drill at Khairpur Tamewali, a place near the border with India, the Indian media was quite aware of the situation that had been taking place. Leading newspapers of Pakistan's arch-rival covered the news in detail regarding the readiness of Pakistan Army which was exhibited though the military exercises, in case of aggression from India.

The comprehensive joint exercise conducted by Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force showcased the combat readiness of the country’s defence line with live firepower demonstration using heavy artillery fighter jets and air defence weapons.

PM Nawaz along with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Rashad Mahmoud and three services chiefs witnessed the movement of artillery corp’s Khalid tanks successfully engaging targets in the firing range some 70 kilometers from Bahawalpur.

The PAF’s fighter aircraft including JF-17 Thunder F-7PG and Mirage hit the targets with agility and precision avoiding the radars.

The maneuvering Mirage aircraft flew close to ground striking weapons at the designated targets.

The military drills and exercises come one day after India yet again violated the ceasefire agreement across the LoC and martyred seven Pakistan Army officers. Pakistan Army responded befittingly to Indian aggression and effectively targeted Indian checkposts.
