CM Murad lauds role of LEAs for peace in Karachi
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the law Enforcement Agencies (LEA), particularly Rangers have played the most effective role in restoration of peace in the city.
This he said while talking to DG Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar, who called on him here at the CM House on Friday.
He said that the political will of the PPP government, unflinching support of the people of Karachi and untiring work and sacrifices of law enforcing agencies have translated into peaceful Karachi.
“Our work has not come to an end but we have to make it sustainable through our collective wisdom and strategy,” he said.
DG Ranger Major General Bilal Akbar briefed the chief minister on the targeted operation, operation against terrorists, recent high profile arrests and future strategies as were discussed and decided in the last Apex Committee meeting.
They also discussed the security plan for Chehlum.
