Pakistan asks UN to probe killing of kids by India
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan on Sunday handed over a dossier regarding the Indian ceasefire violations to the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP).According to Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria, the detailed dossier was given to the representative of UNMOGIP at the General Headquarters in view of the martyrdom of four Pakistani children by the Indian forces in Khuiratta Sector on Line of Control on Saturday. He said the UNMOGIP was requested to investigate the killing.
Later, in a PTV programme, he said Pakistan was taking up at the international level, the issue of escalation on its border with the repeated aggression by the Indian forces.
He said the whole situation was directly linked with the Indian-held Kashmir issue and the regional peace.
Separately, Kashmir Affairs Minister Barjees Tahir has urged the international community to take serious notice of unprovoked Indian firing along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary. In a statement, he said the Indian aggression would have a bad impact on the world peace.
Tahir said India has committed naked aggression by targeting unarmed civilians and innocent children on the LoC and Working Boundary.
He said Pakistan has the right to respond Indian aggression on the LoC, and Pakistan Army is protecting the motherland.
He said the freedom movement in IHK is taking a new turn and getting more intense despite Indian brutalities. Pakistan would never withdraw its moral and political support to the Kashmiris.
