Imran says Qatari prince’s letter raised many questions
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday said Naeem Bukhari would lead the legal team of his party in the Panama Papers case since he was the one who filed an application pertaining to the issue of offshore companies.
He said the PTI legal team would comprise Naeem Bukhari, Babar Awan, Malaika Bukhari and Sikandar Memhand. “I am satisfied with my legal team, and I have won big matches while leading much weaker teams,” he said.
He claimed that the PTI had got its hands on the evidence but party lawyers would decide whether to present them in the court. “ I didn’t visit London to look for evidence, I was there to meet my sons,” he said.
While responding to a question regarding his marriage, he said the marriage was the Sunnah of prophet (PBUH), but he was more focused on Panama Papers case.
He said the letter submitted by a Qatari prince has raised many questions and the purpose of playing prime minister’s speeches in the court was to highlight the fact that Nawaz Sharif didn’t mention any Qatari prince in them.
