Scrutiny committee for transport companies
By: APPFAISALABAD: The government has decided to constitute scrutiny committees for checking of transport company vehicles at district level. A spokesman for the local administration announced on Monday that the district collector would work as chairman of the scrutiny committee.
The committee will check the security system of transport companies, and the provision of physical security to the passengers. It will also check the lighting system, communication system, rescue facilities and installation of security gadgets in vehicles as well as at transport stands. The scrutiny committee would also compile a comprehensive report and send it to the Provincial Home Department for further action, for improvement in security in transport companies, the spokesman added.
