Opposition has crossed all limits by criticising state institutions: Shibli

Federal minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz said that the statement of Ali Amin Gandapur at PTI’s election rally in Gilgit Baltistan about Maryam Nawaz was wrongly perceived as such kind of speeches in public gatherings are routine matter in politics.

He said that the indecent words and statements of Maryam Nawaz and PDM leaders about the first lady were worse than the political remarks of Gandapur about Maryam.

The opposition has crossed all the limits of political ethics by criticizing even the national institutions, he said and added that institutions were more important than individuals. In a talk show programme of a private news channel on Saturday, the minister said that the Prime Minister had never used indecent remarks about women and Maryam Nawaz misused her status of being a woman.

The Opposition was not condemned by media when it was constantly leveling baseless allegations against first lady Bushra Bibi despite her non-political role, he stated.

Shibli Faraz said that the government would not take advantage of the differences between PPP and PML-N by showing leniency towards any party in ongoing accountability process.

He said that Jahangir Tareen was now available in the country for replying all kinds of questions by the courts and the media regarding sugar scandal.

The promises made with the people of the region would be fulfilled, he asserted.

Amin said a medical college and engineering university had been approved for the region while the allocated quota of wheat for northern areas would be distributed among people soon. The wheat quota was abolished by the last government, he stated.

The minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan was fighting for the rights of people of Pakistan and had waged struggle against looters of national kitty.

Imran Khan refused to forgive those who looted wealth of the nation, he said and accused Asif Ali Zardari and Sharif family of corruption.

Gandapur said Asif Zardari who had not much wealth, later bought a palace in France and became billionaire while Nawaz Sharif, despite his humble beginning became billionaire too.

He asked people to vote for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the upcoming election in Gilgit Baltistan.

He said the issue of Kashmir would be resolved according to resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication, Dr Shahbaz Gill on Saturday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will clean sweep the upcoming

Gilgit-Baltistan elections. “These people [opposition parties] are still telling lies despite having ruled the country for three decades,” he said. “The reason behind the country’s problems is PML-N’s corruption”, he said in a tweet.

Gill said people responsible for corruption would be held accountable. Opposition would suffer a defeat in Gilgit Baltistan (GB), he added.

GB is set to elect its assembly members on November 15. President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Maryam Nawaz, Chairperson Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other political figures have been campaigning in the region for the last few days.
