PML-Q walks out from NA over ‘bias’ in relief distribution

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Thursday staged a walk out from the National Assembly over alleged bias in favour of Sindh’s flood victims in distribution of relief goods and Watan Cards. The issue was raised by PML-Q member Ghaus Bux Mahar. Speaking on a point of order, he said his party workers had launched a hunger strike over discrimination in distribution of relief goods. Another PML-Q member Ayaz Sherazi said that his constituency had been neglected by the authorities concerned and those flood victims who wanted to return to their houses were not being provided transport and ration. Sherazi said he had discussed the matter with Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani but steps to address the grievances of the flood victims had yet to be taken. staff report
