Kashmir Solidarity Day observed in UK


BIRMINGHAM, Oct 3 (APP)- Kashmiri and Pakistani community in United Kingdom observed Kashmir Solidarity Day Saturday to express their wholehearted support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their just struggle for right of self determination.Responding to the call given by All Parties Kashmir Conference organised by the UK-based Tehreek-e-Kashmir President Mohammad Ghalib last week, major Kashmiri political and religious parties including Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnat UK, Jamiat Ullema-e-Islam, Jamiat Ahal-e-Hadith, UK Islamic Mission, Confederation of Sunni Mosques Midlands jointly organized different events to highlight various aspects of Kashmir’s liberation struggle and Indian atrocities being committed against the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Resolutions calling for swift action against Indian government for blatantly violating the rights of Kashmiri were adopted while United Nations, OIC and major influential countries of the world were urged to pay heed to the deteriorating situation in Kashmir.
Addressing a function held in connection with the Solidarity Day , Prominent religious scholar Maulana Nisar Ahmed Qadri said people of Jammu and Kashmir were demanding their inalienable right to self determination and India is responding them with guns and bullets. He said Kashmiris were determined and they will take their struggle to success despite all cruelties and barbarities by India.
Mufti Mohammad Zahid Aslam said Kashmir’s struggle is legitimate and in accordance with UN Charters. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir should be given their right to self determination promised to them by India and International Community in UN resolutions.
President UK Islamic Mission Maulana Sarfraz Madni said Kashmiris are not alone in their struggle rather freedom loving and conscientious people across the globe are supporting their cause. He said Kashmiris struggle for right to self determination will soon crown with success.
Maulana Shoaib Mirpuri said Kashmir’s grave situation warrant urgent intervention on the part of United Nation and international community. If the world community fails to find the peaceful solution of the problem it could take a dangerous turn.
Maulana Qari Tahir Tayyab paid tributes to Muslim religious parties and Islamic centres in UK for observing Solidarity Day. He said India will never be able to silence the voices of Kashmiri for their rights.
Chief Patron, All Parties Kashmir International Coordination Committee, Maulana Bostan Qadri stressed the need for complete unity and harmony among the political forces of Kashmir to take the liberation movement to its logical end.
He appreciated the sprit of Kashmiris parties in UK to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day on one platform.
Secretary General Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK Mufti Abdul Majid Nadeem said normal relations between India and Pakistan are not possible with resolution of Kashmir issue.
