MQM urges UK govt to increase Altaf’s security
LAHORE: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) North American leaders have written a letter to the British Prime Minister David Cameron, demanding the British government increase the security of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, a private TV channel reported on Saturday. It was written in the letter that the MQM’s philosophy was to provide relief to the common man, to end feudalism from the country and to eradicate religious extremism from society. “Due to this, Altaf Hussain’s life might be in danger from these anti-democratic and extremist powers,” the MQM leaders said. It was also written in the letter that these elements wanted to end the movement, adding that Altaf Hussain’s life was in danger after the death of Dr Imran Farooq. The MQM leaders expressed the fear that their chief could be assasinated. They urged the British prime minister to increase the security of Altaf Hussain, the channel said. daily time monitor
