200 lawyers booked for beating police, journalistsDaily Times Monitor
LAHORE: As many as 200 lawyers, including Lahore Bar Association President Sajid Bashir, have been booked for beating policemen and journalists, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.
The journalists requested the police to book 200 lawyers including, Sajid Bashir, Usman Khalid, Mian Hafeez, Azeem A Sheikh, Mehar Ahsan, Tariq Sindhu, Lubna Haider, Safdar Bhutta, Jawad Shah, Zulfiqar Haider Manki, Nowsherwan Adil, Latif Sra, Munir Ahsan, Qasim Buttar, Shakil Gondal, Munir Chohan, Sarmad Ghani, MR Ranjha, Kamran Bhutta, Safdar Ranjha and Zia. However, no lawyer has been arrested so far. On Saturday, lawyers had thrashed reporters and policemen during a protest demonstration against police, the channel reported.
