MQM to continue supporting revolution: Altaf
KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will continue to support the revolution until its finalisation, MQM chief Altaf Hussain said on Sunday. He was addressing the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) via telephone from London at a ceremony to mark KKF starting its ambulance service in different cities. He said millions of flood affectees were homeless and suffering from hunger across the country, but political and religious leaders were busy playing the blame game. In such circumstances, the MQM is the only one concentrating on the flood victims, he added. Keeping in view the country’s corrupt political system, the MQM is raising its voice for a revolution to get rid of succession of hereditary politics, he said. “We are serving humanity for the past 32 years,” he added. Selfishness and nepotism have become a part of the country’s political system and it seems that the elements involved only want to rule the country and work for their party and family, not for the country, he said. staff report
