Promotions to grade-22 challenged in SC
LAHORE: As many as 29 senior officers of Grade-21 have filed a case in the Supreme Court (SC), as they were not promoted to Grade-22 by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday. According to reports, the officers filed a petition in the SC, taking a stance that the PM ignored the senior officers and promoted the junior ones to Grade-22, violating the constitution, the apex court’s orders and the promotion policy. The senior officers laid the demand in the petition to explain the grounds for not promoting them to Grade-22, the channel said. daily times monitor
