News of judges’ restoration order withdrawal ‘concocted’: Kaira
ISLAMABAD: Dubbing the news in relation to the withdrawal of the executive order of judges’ restoration as ‘most unfortunate’, the Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said late Thursday that highlighting this news is regrettable as the PM Gilani has already issued denial against it, Geo News reported.“News on withdrawal of executive order is condemnable”, he said while talking to mediamen. Urging upon those people who run media organizations, Kaira said: “The freedom of media is always linked with responsibility”.
Stressing upon Supreme Court (SC), the minister said the apex court should take suo motto notice of such propaganda, which has resulted in triggering chaos among nation.
“People should not treat such rumors as news”, he observed, adding that he would be thankful of SC on taking suo motto notice of such hoaxes.
Judges had to suffer difficulty on broadcast of a fake news story, he maintained.
