EC summons 15 lawmakers in fake degree saga
LAHORE: The Election Commission (EC) has summoned 15 parliamentarians in the fake degree case, a private TV channel reported on Sunday. According to details, three of the parliamentarians called by the EC belonged to the National Assembly. One is from the Balochistan Assembly. The remaining 11 parliamentarians belong to the Punjab Assembly, eight of whom were women who had been elected on reserved seats, the channel reported. EC spokesman Afzal Khan said on October 21, seven other parliamentarians had been summoned, while on October 25, nine more lawmakers had been called, the channel reported. daily times monitor
