Former president Farooq Laghari passes away
LAHORE: Former president Farooq Ahmed Khan Laghari died late on Tuesday at the age of 70. According to the state-owned PTV, Laghari had been a heart patient for a few years and was undergoing treatment at the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology, Rawalpindi. He was admitted to the hospital recently, however, his condition kept deteriorating. Doctors had kept Laghari in the intensive care unit of the hospital but they could not save him and the former president breathed his last on Tuesday night. Laghari was president of the country from November 1993 to 1997. daily times monitor
