ISLAMABAD: Sajjad Haider, an officer in the Interior Ministry, has been dismissed from service for being a beneficiary of the National Reconciliation Order (NRO), a private TV channel reported on Sunday. Haider was restored to his job in the ministry a few days ago and is the third official to be removed after the Supreme Court verdict. He was nominated as an accomplice of Ahmed Riaz Sheikh, a former additional director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), in a case. Haider remained staff officer of Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and was one of the NRO beneficiaries. Several other officials, including the National Insurance Corporation Limited chief Ayaz Khan Niazi, are likely to be dismissed, the channel reported. staff report
