Daily Times Monitor
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has ruled out the possibility of unification of the Muslim League factions in the presence of Q-league leaders; Chaudhry brothers and Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rashid, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to sources, PML-Functional leader Pir Pagara had approached the PML-N leader as part of the ongoing efforts to unify Muslim League factions. In an indirect message, the PML-N chief has made it clear to Pir Pagara that presence of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Sheikh Rashid is a major hurdle in the merger of the Muslim League factions, the channel said. In his message, Nawaz said that his party had no greed for power. Pakistan needs a strong government and a coalition government will not be able to resolve the challenges facing the nation, says the message. It further revealed that the PML-N could consider seat adjustment with other parties in the next general election, the channel reported.
