Ex-barrister of Pakistani descent jailed for immigration scam
LONDON, Oct 26 (APP)- A former British Asian barrister of Pakistani origin has been jailed for eight and a half years for his role in massive immigration scam that netted 2.65 million pounds, says media report.Thirty six years old Saeed Ahmed was one of five people involved in running a bogus college and corrupt immigration advisory firm in the British capital.Southwark Crown Court in south London Tuesday found him guilty of conspiring to assist unlawful immigration by offering bogus courses at Thames College.Four other people have already been jailed for a total of 25 years for assisting in unlawful immigration.
