President, PM greet Asma on election
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani have extended felicitations to Asma Jehangir on her election as President of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
Felicitating Asma Jehangir on her victory, the President said “the legal fraternity and lawyers community have reposed confidence in her and acknowledged her abilities as a great lawyer and a fearless leader”. He expressed the hope that her tenure would bring qualitative change and her abilities and brilliance would contribute positively in further strengthening the Bar Association.
The Premier Gilani in his message said “your election as President of SCBA is reflective of the lawyers’ confidence in your leadership.” He hoped that during your tenure as President of SCBA, the lawyers’ community would take full benefit from your professional acumen and guidelines in carrying out the judicial affairs of the country.
The Prime Minister wished the newly elected President of SCBA all success in her future endeavors.
