Zardari greets Karzai over signing of transit trade pact
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has felicitated Afghan President Hamid Karzai over the signing of a bilateral Pakistan-Afghanistan Transit Trade Agreement. The president, in a message on Friday, said that the agreement was a most welcome development for the region that would not only boost trade of the two countries, but would also contribute to peace and stability by further strengthening the bilateral relations. Terming it as a win-win situation for the two countries, the president said the economic development was a key to peace and stability of the region and this mechanism would promote economic development creating new vistas of opportunities for the people especially for those who have been the worst victim of the scourge of militancy during the recent years. staff report
