Balochistan CM calls for addressing grievances of federating units
By Mohammad Zafar
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani called for addressing the problems and grievances of the federating units in order to bring about national integrity and solidarity.
Talking to the media, the Balochistan chief minister warmly welcomed the All-Parties Conference and the consensus reached at the meeting that, according to him, gave a clear message to all concerned that the Pakistani people were united.
“It is a clear sign of a stable and determined Pakistan,” Nawab Raisani said, adding, “The role of the government is praiseworthy as it brought all divergent forces and the military leadership to a single platform.” “If we continue to sit together and discuss issues of national and vital importance in the interest of national unity, then no power on earth will dare to undermine the security of Pakistan and nor will foreign powers pose any security challenge to the people,” Nawab Raisani observed.
“Whether it is a threat from the United States or other issues concerning national security, all forces should be taken on board for reaching better, unanimous decisions in the interest of the people,” he added. He said that he was of the view from the very outset that democratic institutions should be further strengthened by adopting a collective strategy and taking all political forces on board.
“Now the time has come to realise and correct our past mistakes and blunders. There should be a collective decision on the issues of foreign policy, internal stability and granting just and legitimate rights to the deprived federating units of Pakistan,” Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani said.
