Festival held to celebrate Thai-Pak diplomatic ties

Karachi: Consul General (CG) of Thailand in Karachi Udom Sapito held a one-day ‘Thai Food Festival’ the other day at his residence to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Pakistan.
Besides Pakistani dishes, on this occasion, Thai traditional foods, sweets and fruits, brought from the Thailand specially, were served to make the event remarkable. Speaking on the occasion, CG Sapito expressed his joy and happiness over long lasting diplomatic relations between the two countries and vowed to continue and enhance the brotherly relations between them.
He was of the view that both the countries had potential to launch several joint ventures.
Pak Thai Friendship Association president Arif Suleman was also present on the juncture. He also shed light on the relations between the states, governments and people of both the countries. A large number of distinguished guests, including diplomats from Russia, France, Switzerland, Iran, Malysia, Sirilanka, UK, Indonesia, Turkey, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Oman, China and other countries, besides business tycoons and prominent figures of the metropolis attended the event. Traditional Thai music and children in traditional dress bestowed the ceremony with beautiful and unique experience.
