ANP exacts a blanket Khi operation
KARACHI: President Awami National Party Sindh, Shahi Said has said that an operation against public enemies in Karachi should not be ethnicity/community/creed specific but across-the-board, Geo News reported.
In a presstalk at Mardan House he lamented the law-enforcers’ common practice of taking accused’s family members in unlawful custody during raids.
He said he is not against targeted-surgical operations but stripping residents of their valuables and forcing them to cough up bribes should not escape authorities’ notice.
He also backed crackdown on land mafia but demanded that it should start from the big-guns sitting on thousands of acres of grabbed land.
