PML-Q, PPP to contest polls hand-in-hand: Elahi
LAHORE: President Pakistan Muslime League-Q Punjab and Senior Federal Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi Sunday said his party would contest the next general elections along with Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Geo News reported.Addressing PML-Q's office bearers from Gujranwala and Sahiwal besides members of assembly and ticket holders, Pervez Elahi said that PPP would not field its candidates for seats grabbed by the PML-Q in the previous election.
Reposing their full confidence in the leadership of Chaudhry brothers, the participants allowed them to make all the decisions.
He directed the members of PML-Q to improve ties with PPP at every level and maintain a constant contact.
The PML-Q leader told the party members that PPP had expressed its full support for the former's candidate Muzafar Ali Shah Khaga in the upcoming by-elections of Sahiwal.
